Job Summary
The Jr. Database Administrator (DBA) has four main focus areas: maintenance and technical support of Healthfuse Microsoft-based systems, database performance and optimization, maintenance of servers and applications, and maintenance of comprehensive documentation. The DBA provides the Senior Solution Architect with critical support for Healthfuse technology ensuring optimal performance.
Core Responsibilities
- Play a pivotal role in maintaining and administering Healthfuse Microsoft-based systems, providing technical support, and troubleshooting issues
- Monitor and optimize system performance, disk space, and system security
- Assist with cyber security risk management, risk assessments and remediation
- Set and maintain database standards
- Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows-based servers and applications
- Assist in server patch management and software version upgrades
- Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation
Skills
- Strong command of MSSQL and MSSQL server tools
- Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
- Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Experience supporting MS SQL Server, Tableau / Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and/or SFTP services
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree (A.A./A.S.) or equivalent from two-year college
- Minimum of three years of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) a plus
- Travels when required to fulfill tasks assigned – expectation is 0-10%
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities
- High data analytics and strong problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Web or software development experience is a plus
- Experience working within regulated environments and data such as PCI, SOC, and HIPAA are a plus
- Action-oriented, independent, and self-motivated
- Ability to work in a high activity/fast paced environment
- Possesses excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently and with a team.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings and effectively lead discussions.
